VHP to commence Hindu Jagarna Yatra from Nov 20
Vijayawada, Feb 24 (UNI) The santh mahatmas of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) would commence a month-long 'Hindu Jagarna Yatra' from November 20 for awakening the Hindu society, VHP national secretary Y Raghavulu said.
Talking to UNI here, he said about 25,000 mahatmas would tour six lakh villages across the country to propogate stopping of conversions and encourage Sahapanti Bhojana.
The date for construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya would be announced by sadhus ahead of the yatra, he added.
Mr Raghavulu said the renovation of Krishna janmabhoomi and Kasi Viswanath temples could be taken up ''only by awakening the Hindus in the country.'' A Hindu code of conduct called 'achara samhitha' was issued by the dharmacharyas and peethadipathis during the third World Hindu Sammelan held in Allahabad this month.
He said ''the home of every Hindus should be made as 'samskara kendra', where mother would play an important role by worshipping the Bhagavan. Every house should keep a fixed time for bhajans and some pravachanas (preachings by scholars).'' Mr Raghavulu said the ''conversions would not only change upasana system but lead to separation of the country just like Pakistan and Bangladesh''.
