Seven Bihari labourers dies in pump house collapse
Ludhiana, Feb 24 (UNI) Seven migrant labourers of Bihar were buried alive and two grievously injured when an old pump house collapsed early this morning in a farm in Jaipura village of this district.
The labourers were sleeping in the pump house, meant for maintaining irrigation supply to local farmer Bhupinder Singh's fields, when the structure came down, police said.
The tragedy came to light, this morning, when farmer Bhupendra Singh went to his farm.
The deceased have been identified as Mohammed Gias, Mohammed Salim, Mohammed Isha, Mohammed Tezahul, Mohammed Baaru and Mohammed Akram, all belonging to the state of Bihar. However, their district or village could not be immediately ascertained.
The critically injured Mohammed Ratkul and Shahjehan have been admitted to the nearest hospital.
