President reaches Coimbatore

Coimbatore, Feb 24 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam has arrived here.

He was received by State Education Minister Thangam Thennarasu and District Collector Neeraj Mittal, among others.

He immediately left to Aravangadu in Nilgiri district by helicopter to attend a function at Defence Staff Training College.

He will also meet former Army Chief and Field Marshal General Maneksha at hospital.

After attending another function at Ooty, he will return to Coimbatore.
