New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI) After 'kulhar', khadi bedroll and 'matha (butter milk) cola', the Railways is all set to introduce a rural delicay of Bihar -- ''Litti Chokha'' -- at stations across the country from next month.

'Litti' is made by stuffing 'sattu' (crushed gram) in a rounded wheat dough and is baked on fire. It is served piping hot laced with ghee or clarified butter along with 'chokha' (made of crushed potato or brinjal) and chutney.

The delicacy would be available at a price of Rs 10 from next month, Indian railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) Managing Director P K Goyal said today.

''We will open stalls at stations for serving this mouth-watering delicacy,'' Mr Goyal added.

He said this delicacy was currently available at Patna, Mughalsarai, Danapur and some other stations of East Central Railway.

''The response from the passengers has been tremendous,'' he said, adding that it had spurred the authorities to provide this cuisine at other stations also.

Mr Goyal said demand was being made to open the stall of this delicay at the stations located in the national capital.

''Keeping in view a strong demand for the delicay, it has now been decided to make it available at all state capital and important stations,'' he said, adding that the first such stall would be opened at Old Delhi and New Delhi stations.
