CPM to stage agitations on Feb 26
Tiruchirapally, Feb 24 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist) would stage agitations in front of the Central government offices at 100 places in Tamil Nadu, protesting against the hike in prices of essential commodities, on February 26.
According to a statement issued by the party a decision to this effect was adopted at the state committee meeting of CPM held here last night.
The Polit Bureau of the party had called for a nationwide agitation on February 27 against the price hike.
However, the Tamil Nadu unit of the party had decided to stage the agitation programme one day in advance.
