300 cases disposed in Lok Adalat in Jharkhand
Ranchi, Feb 24 (UNI) Altogether 300 cases, including civil, criminal and railway insurance were disposed of in the 36th Lok Adalat, organised by the district legal services authority (DLSA) here today.
Five benches were constituted for the job.
DLSA chairman B N Upadhaya and DLSA Secretary Mr Vivekanand Bannerjee were present at the lok adalat.
In the Motor Vehicle Act cases, around Rs 13,30,000 have been given to the aggrieved persons.
The practice of lok adalat was started in 2005 to benefit the poor.
