Rajya Sabha pays tribute to late members
New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) The Rajya Sabha on the opening day of the Budget session today paid homage to its Members who had died during the intersession and to the victims of the Samjhuata Express blast.
The House paid tributes to late sitting Members Sumitra Mahajan of the Indian National Lok Dal and Chittabrata Majumdar of the CPI-M and former Member Hokishe Sema.
The Members also paid tribute to the 68 people who had died in last week's blasts in the Samjhauta express train near Panipat.
Later, copies of the President's address to the joint sitting of Parliament were tabled in the House after which it was adjourned till Monday.
