Oxyrich gets Indian Patent and ISO 22000 certificate
Ahmedabad, Feb 22 (UNI) The Manikchand Group today announced that it had given a process patent and ISO 22000 certificate for their 'oxygenation process for Oxyrich', the only oxygenated bottled drinking water in the country.
Addressing reporters, Chief Executive Officer of Manikchand Group Ajit Jain said that this is the only product in the packaged bottled drinking water segment to receive the ISO 22000:2005 certification to its Pune plant, which is the world's most stringent standard for the food safety management system.
He said that the water used in Oxyrich is from protected wells which meets the Indian standard and processed without chemicals by using unique technology, a combination of activated carbon filtration, ultra filtration, reverse Osmosis, ultra violent and ozonation and super charged with 300 per cent more oxygen.
Jain also announced to set up a manufacturing plant near Ahmedabad on franchise basis to meet the bottled water requirements of Gujarat customers by August 2007. The Ahmedabad plant will have a production capacity of around 25 million liters per annum. The company will set up similar units in Mumbai, Lucknow shortly and negotations are for Chandigarh and Jaipur project, he added.
Oxyrich currently has plants situated at Pune, Bangalore,Chennai, Hyderabad, Haridwar, Aurangabad and Kolhapur. The combined capacity of these plants is over 2.75 billion litres per year.
He said that Oxyrich is in the premium segment of the market which is being priced at Rs 15 per one litre bottle while company has recently launched ''Taral'' priced at Rs 12 has all the superior product features except the oxygenation process.
