Haryana to adjust more retrenched employees
Chandigarh, Feb 23 (UNI) In a major relief to regular retrenched employees of Group A and B, below the age of 55 as on May 18, 2006, the Haryana Government has decided to consider their cases for ''adjustment.'' Chief Secretary Prem Prashant earlier said the state government had formulated a scheme for readjusting regular retrenched Group C and D employees of Boards, Corporations, Co-operative Federations and other PSUs who had been retrenched by the previous Chautala government on account of closure or restructuring of these organisations.
''Now the same scheme had also been extended to Group A and B regular retrenched employees for their adjustment, as per the terms and conditions of the polling,'' he added.
Mr Prashant said further compensation of Rs one lakh will be given to retrenched employees of Groups A, B, C and D who were over 55 years of age and less than 58 years as on May 18, 2006.
Similarly, a compensation of Rs 2.5 lakh would be given to the families of the retrenched employees who had died after retrenchment and who would otherwise have been eligible for adjustment on May 18, 2006.
