Former-Cong councillor shot dead by nephew

Lucknow, Feb 23 (UNI) Former Congress councillor Satish Sharma was shot dead by his nephew in Ghaziabad's Patel Nagar area this afternoon.

Police said here Sharma was shot point blank by his nephew Tika Ram at the former's residence in Patel Nagar. A property dispute is said to be the reason behind the crime.

Sharma was rushed to Shivam nursing home, where he was declared brought dead.

A named FIR has been lodged against Tika Ram, who is absconding.
