Congress urges for special attention for J'khand in Rail budget
Ranchi, Feb 23 (UNI) The Congress has urged Railway Minister Lalu Prasad to provide special train facility to Jharkhand in the coming Railway budget.
State party president Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu, in a letter to the Minister, had demanded for the extension of the Firozpur -Dhanbad-Ganga-Satluj Express till Ranchi.
He also asked Mr Prasad to extend the Allepey-Dhanbad to Kottam via Kanyakumari.
Emphasising on having trains connecting the city with southern states, he said several people visit the southern areas to get technical education or for treatment.
Mr Balmuchu also urged the Centre to run trains connecting Ranchi with Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.
