Cong negotiates with NCP on tie-ups for ZP polls
Mumbai, Feb 23 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Prabha Rau today said talks are on for alliance with NCP for the upcoming elections to various zilla parishads.
Talking to reporters, Ms Rau said negotiations are on at five to six places.
She announced that Congress has decided to work out an alliance with RPI (Gavai) for the zilla parishad elections.
The NCP also worked out an alliance with RPI (Athavale). However, both the ruling partners have so far not made any categorical announcement of coming together for 27 zilla parishad and Panchayat samiti elections.
