Bharti-Wal-Mart JV by March: Sunil Mittal

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) Bharti Enterprises Chief Sunil Mittal today said its cash-and-carry joint venture with Wal-Mart Stores will be finalised by next month.

''The discussions are at the final stage..the agreement will be signed in the coming weeks... somewhere around March,'' Mr Mittal told reporters after meeting Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia along with visiting Wal-Mart Vice Chairman Mike Duke.

A team of executives from the world's largest retailer is in India. They are scheduled to meet Union Minister for Agriculture Sharad Pawar and Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath here later in the day.
