Asia preferred semiconductor destination: Ray Stata
Bangalore, Feb 23 (UNI) Asia is fast emerging as the preferred semiconductor destination, to nurture which there is a need for a strong focus on innovation and breakthrough, advancements in technology, development of human resources and sound educational system, Analog Devices Chairman and Co-founder Ray Stata said today.
Addressing members of the India Semiconductor Association (ISA) at its signature event, Thought Leadership Forum on 'Semiconductors - An Industry in Transition - Again', he said long term success depended on how well business leaders, educators and public officials respond to major shifts in technologies and markets.
A conducive political environment would play a critical role in propelling the industry further, he added.
Mr Stata highlighted that Analog Devices began as a quintessential product-centric company, which gradually adopted a more customer-centric orientation. This evolution enabled Analog Devices to achieve the cost and quality demanded by customers across consumer, computer and communication applications.
Talking about yet another transition being faced by the semiconductor industry today, he stressed on the increasing demand from customers for solutions that mitigate soaring design costs and reduce time to market.
