4 criminals arrested

Varanasi, Feb 23 (UNI) Police today claimed to have worked out a series of crimes with the arrest of four criminals from Shivpur area here.

On being tipped off, police nabbed Vishal Singh, Manoj Sonkar, Rajbali Patel and Swaminath from Chandmari locality.

A pistol, countrymade revolver and two motorcycles were recovered from the spot.

On interrogation, the quartet admitted to a series of crimes including a recent murder and a robbery.

Vishal also admitted to involvment in the October 10, 2005 murder of BJP leader Munna Lal Maurya in Lohta area.
