1 killed, 20 seriously hurt in collision

Kancheepuram, Feb 23 (UNI) One person was killed and 20 sustained serious injuries when a tanker hit a lorry carrying a marriage party here today.

Police said the head-on collision occurred at Uttaramerur-Pukkathurai killing tanker lorry driver Velu on the spot.

Twenty persons belonging to the marriage party, including six women, were hurt seriously.

They were shifted to the Chengalpattu Government Hospital for treatment.
