Three persons with toy guns arrested in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 22 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police today arrested three persons who were indulging in theft and extortion at gun point in north Kashmir.

Superintendent of Police, Handwara, Haseeb Mughal police post Choogal was receiving complaints that unidentified armed men were looting people at gun point at Puroo Path and other villages.

He said acting on these complaints an FIR number 299/2006 under section 392 of RPC was lodged in police station Handwara and a trap was laid.

Police later arrested Ashiq Hussain Chopan Mohd Iqbal Ganie and Muzaffer Ahmed Sheikh resident of Dangerpora Sopore.One person of this gang is still at large.

They were storming into houses with toy guns and threatening the inmates, looting cash and other valuables.
