Take benefits of IT to rural areas: AP CM
Hyderabad, Feb 22 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today urged the Chief Research and Strategic Officer Microsfot Craig Mundie to take the benefits of IT to rural areas, particularly in the field of education, health and agriculture and assured them the required support.
Mr Craig along with Country Head (Public Sector) Microsoft India Rohit Kumar, National Technology Officer Vijaya Kapoor and MD Microsoft India Srini Koppulu called on Chief Minister today and apprised about the operations of Microsoft India.
Mr Craig informed Dr Reddy that Microsoft was aiming at providing training to the students of Andhra Pradesh to develop skills on next generation microsoft tools and technologies which would immensely improve their career options.
The IT giant had decided to establish a permanent facility for their software development in India. It had already set up a campus on 50 acres of land at Manikonda here.
