Shiv Sena activists blacken Yaseen Malik's face
New Delhi, Feb 22 (UNI) Shiv Sena activists blackened separatist leader and JKLF chief Yaseen Malik's face as he sat in his car after leading dharna at the Jantar Mantar here this evening.
Malik had gone to Jantar Mantar leading a group of families of missing people from Jammu and Kashmir. He was sitting on a day-long hunger strike against alleged human rights violations in the state. Sixty family members of the missing people, mostly women who arrived here on Monday from Srinagar, participated in the strike.
About 15 activists of Shiv Sena blackened Malik's face after intercepting his car as he left the venue.
One of the activists went up to Malik and blackened his face.
Delhi University Professor S A R Geelani was also in the car with Malik.
''Malik's face was blackened on the orders of Sena Pramukh Balasaheb Thakre,'' a Shiv Sena activist said.
Yaseen Malik could not be contacted.
Earlier Malik had met Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri at the Pakistan High Commission. He, however, did not speak to the media after the one-hour meeting.
After the meeting, he straight drove to Jantar Mantar to lead the dharna.
