Senior IAS officer resigns

Bhopal, Feb 22 (UNI) Senior IAS officer and Principal Secretary (Higher Education) Bhagirath Prasad has resigned from the service.

Mr Prasad, a 1975 batch IAS officer who has served at several important posts, told UNI that he had sent his resignation letter to the Chief Secretary. However, his resignation has not been accepted yet.

He denied reports that he had taken the step because he was dissatisfied.

Mr Prasad said he was fully satisfied with his tenure as an IAS officer and had received cooperation from everyone.
