Panic grips hospital following a bomb scare

Karnal, Feb 22 (UNI) Panic gripped the civil hospital here today following information that a bomb has been planted in the hospital premises.

Superintendent of Police Shibas Kaviraj said a letter to this effect was found pasted on the wall of the ramp leading to Gynaecology Ward of the hospital.

Police immediately cordoned off the hospital and started a search with help of sniffer dogs to find the bomb. The search was still continuing.

A bomb disposal squad has been also called to the hospital. The patients of Gynaecology Ward have been shifted to safer place.
