Mumbai, Feb 22 (UNI) Trouble continues for Sudhakar Poojari, former Investigating officer of the multi-crore Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination scam, as he has been finally suspended from service by Police Commissioner A N Roy for not taking permission from the competent authority to go to the Supreme Court in the Sayali Joshi matter.

Mr Roy served an order to him yesterday stating that he had not taken proper permission from competent authority to go to the Supreme Court for filing the case against former MPSC member Sayali Joshi.

Even after Poojari was removed as the Investigating Officer of the MPSC scam, trouble still continued for him for allegedly naming some prominent personalities in the case.

Mr Poojari today confirmed that he had received a suspension order from the commissioner's office. He is ready to face any inquiry in the matter.

In the MPSC scam, a total of 27 accused persons were arrested including its former Chairmen S D Karnik and P D Wani, former Examination Controller Sudhakar Sarode, former MPSC member Sayali Joshi and others for their alleged involvement in the examination scandal in the year 1999.

The scam was unearthed on June 29, 2002, by the ACB following a written complaint made by MPSC secretary Seema Dhamdhere.

Investigating agency had seized property worth Rs 15 crore in the name of accused persons.
