C N R Rao to get Oxford University honorary doctorate

Bangalore, Feb 22 (UNI) Prof C N R Rao, National Research Professor and Honorary President of the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, has been conferred with a honorary doctorate by the University of Oxford in recognition of his extraordinary scientific contributions.

Prof Rao had been invited to the Encaenia ceremony in Oxford on June 20 for conferring the degree, a rare and unique honour, on him, according to a release from the Centre here today.
