Bomb threat call turns hoax
Chennai, Feb 22 (UNI) An anonymous phone call, received by the railway police, informing of a bomb in the Chennai Central - Coimbatore express train turned out to be hoax, here last night.
Railway police sources said the railway police received the call when the train was about to leave.
Following the call, the railway police, Railway Protection Force (RPF) and bomb detection squad conducted a through search. But nothing was found from the train.
However, the security personnel detected a major technical fault in the vaccuum tubes connecting the compartments six and seven.
Later, the technical snag was fixed and the train left the station after an hour long delay.
