Bomb Hoax in Deccan Queen, train halted at Kalyan station

Mumbai, Feb 22 (UNI) The bomb disposal squad and railway police today swung into action at nearby Kalyan station after the Railway Police Force (RPF) control received an anonymous call stating that a bomb has been planted in the Pune-bound Deccan Queen The passangers were asked to alight the train however, after a thorough search lasting for an hour, it was found to be a hoax call.

The Railway police control room sources said at around 1800 hours RPF control room had received an anonymous call stating that a bomb was planted in Deccan Queen. The officer immediately informed the Kalyan Railway police and bomb disposal squad.

The train later left for Pune, the sources added.
