Bengali Film Director Anjan Chowdhury expires

Kolkata, Feb 22 (UNI) Tollywood filmmaker Anjan Chowdhury died at a city nursing home here last night, family sources said today. He was 63.

He is survived by his wife, son and two daughters.

The Bengali film director was admitted to B M Birla Heart Research Institute early this month, after a cardiac arrest, and was put on life support system.

He was one of the Tollywood's most reputed filmmakers since the eighties with hits like "Shatru" and "Mukhyamantri".

He also ran an acting school here.
