14-year old girl raped by neighbour

Surat, Feb 22 (UNI) A 14-year old girl was kidnapped and allegedly raped by a young neighbour at Kamrej last evening, Kapodra police said here today.

Police said the youth, Ashok Sharma, who lived in a nearby house, approached the girl, a resident of Poonagam, and induced her to go to a farm near Kamrej area, where the culprit raped the girl and fled from the scene.

The girl managed to reach her relatives house later in the evening and narrated the episode to her relatives, who immediately informed the police.

The girl was sent for a medical examination, police added.
