Ranji: MP derail Rly

Indore, Feb 21 (UNI) Sunil Dholpure's lethal deliveries scalped 5 Railway batsmen and bundled the team out for 174 thereby giving Madhya Pradesh a 72-run victory in a Central Zone Ranji league one-dayer here today.

After winning the toss, Railway opted to field. Mohnish Mishra (39) came to the crease to aid skipper S Abbas Ali (50) after 2 wickets had fallen with the scorecard reading 39. The duo added 65 for the third wicket. At one point, the hosts were 146/5. Brajesh Tomar (23) and Shadab Khan (52 not out) added 47 for the sixth wicket.

Madhya Pradesh scored 246/7 in the allotted 50 overs.

A Saxena (2), M Kartik (2) and S Khanolkar (1) were the successful bowlers.

For Railway, opening batsman J P Yadav (54) was the sole batsman who could remain at the crease for a respectable period of time and fired 8 boundaries. J Shankar Rao (29) remained unbeaten.

Yogesh Golwalkar, Devendra Bundela, T Sudheendra and S Pande took a wicket each. The hosts earned 5 points including a bonus point.
