Public holiday in Valtoha on Feb 24

Chandigarh, Feb 21 (UNI) The Punjab Government has declared a public holiday on February 24 in Valtoha Assembly constituency where polling will be held on that day.

All Government offices and those of corporations, boards and all educational institutions in the constituency will remain closed due to polling.

It will also be a holiday within the meaning of Section 25 of the Negotiable Instument Act, 1881.

The polling in Valtoha Assembly constituency had been deferred to February 24 following the death of CPI candidate Kulwinder Singh.

Earlier on February 13, polling was held in 115 of 117 assembly segments in Punjab.
