Mumbai to become DHL's South Asia hub
Mumbai, Feb 21 (UNI) DHL Express, the world's leading express and logistics company, has decided to make Mumbai its hub for handling business in 7 South Asian countries, including India.
Carved out from the company's Asia Pacific business region, the restructured South Asia area comprising of India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Maldives, Bangladesh and Bhutan will facilitate better geographic focus on trade lanes and enhance business opportunities for customers, DHL said in a statement here today.
The company appointed Malcolm Monteiro as senior vice president and area director for the South Asian region, adding he will also oversee operations of Blue Dart Express in which DHL has a majority stake.
