Guar contract settles at Rs 1767, Soya oil at Rs 437 per 10 kg
Ahmedabad, Feb 21 (UNI) National Multi-Commodity Exchange (NMCE) has settled the Guar seed (February ) contract at Rs.1767 per quintal and Soya oil (February) at Rs.437 per 10 kg as the futures trading for the February series that matured yesterday.
While Guar seed was traded in the range of Rs 2084 in December first week and Rs.1825 this month. Soya oil was traded in the range of Rs.481.05 and Rs.436.15 over the same period.
Meanwhile, NMCE has introduced the new June-2007 series in Soya oil and Guar seed for futures trading on its terminals. Their first delivery period is June 18 and the maturity date of both the commodities is June 20, 2007.
While the delivery centre for Soya oil is Indore in Madhya Pradesh, that for Guar seed are Jodhpur (basis centre), Bikaner, Nokha in Rajasthan and Deesa in Gujarat with freight discount through Central Warehouse Corporation (CWC) Receipt.
NMCE has also introduced new June-2007 series in Chana for futures trading on its terminals, its first delivery period being August 17 and the maturity date August 20, 2007. Its delivery centre is CWC Warehouse Delhi.
NMCE runs futures contract in 198 series in 70 commodities, including rubber, cardamom, pepper, raw jute, bullion, base metals, besides guar seed and soya oil. other agri-commodities actively traded on NMCE terminals include raw jute.
NMCE has been promoted by CWC, Punjab National Bank (PNB), NAFED, Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation, Gujarat State Agriculture Produce Marketing Board (GSAMB), Jaipur-based National Institute of Agricultural Marketing and Neptune Overseas Limited.
