Aurobindo gets nod for ARV prods from Botswana

New Delhi, Feb 21 (UNI) Aurobindo Pharma Ltd today said DRU (Drugs regulatory unit) of Botswana has registered nine of its anti retro viral (ARV) products at a single time.

These products are used extensively in the treatment of HIV positive patients.

The products include Lamivudine and Zidovudine tablet, Zidovudine oral solution 50 mg/5 ml, Nevirapine Oral Suspension 50 mg/ml, Lamivudine oral solution 10 mg/ml, Nevirapine 200 mg tablet, Stavudine 30 mg capsules, Stavudine 40 mg capsules, Lamivudine 150 mg tablets and Lamivudine 300 mg tablets.

Botswana is a key market for ARVs, hence these registrations with the authorities would help the company to consolidate its position in the said market, a statement said.
