AP Govt mulls concessions for woman entrepreneurs
Hyderabad, Feb 21 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the state government would consider providing concessions to woman entrepreneurs in the state.
Inaugurating a seminar on ''Investment Opportunities in IT and ITeS' organised by the Young FICCI Ladies Organisation (YFLO) here, Dr Reddy said women entrepreneurs were coming up with various ventures, including those in the IT sector.
YFLO Chairperson Harjinder Kaur Talwar said the Indian IT-ITeS industry had recorded a revenue of 23.6 billion US Dollar in 2005-06 which was expected to touch 53 billion US Dollar by end 2008.
Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Secretary K Ratna Prabha said as many as three lakh people would get direct employment and 12 lakh people indirect employment in IT and ITeS sector by 2009 in the state.
