2 killed, another injured in Kashmir Highway accident

Srinagar, Feb 21 (UNI) Two persons, including a police driver were killed and another was wounded when a vehicle skidded and fell into deep gorge on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway this afternoon.

An official spokesman said that a vehicle of security wing of Jammu and Kashmir police fell into a 200-feet deep gorge at Shair Bibi when the driver lost control.

He said the driver Nazir Ahmad Rahter and a civilian Fayaz Ahmad Najar were killed on the spot while a child was injured.

The injured was admitted to hospital, he said.
