TN CPI(M) condoles death of Polit Bureau member in Kolkata

Chennai, Feb 20 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu unit of the Communist Part of India(Marxist) today expressed grief over the sudden demise of its veteran party leader and senior Polit Bureau member Chittabrata Majumdar, who died in Kolkata this evening.

In a statement here, CPI(M) State Secretary N Varadharajan said the death of Mr Majumdar was a great loss to the party as well as to the Indian trade union.

Expressing his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, Mr Varadharajan said as a mark of respect to the departed leader, party flags will fly at half mast for three days till February 22.
