Tea stall owner commits suicide
Kolhapur, Feb 20 (UNI) A debt-ridden tea stall owner allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his house at village Bazar-Bhogav in Panhala tehsil of the district.
Police today said Deepak Laxman Bendke (35) committed suicide yesterday.
Bendke had taken a loan of Rs 36,000 from a co-operative credit society, but failed to repay the same. Frustrated at not being able to repay the amount, he took the extreme step, police added.
