Sodomite cousin given capital punishment

Saharanpur, Feb 20 (UNI) A local court has awarded capital punishment to a person accused in the sodomy and murder of his eleven year old cousin in this district of Uttar Pradesh.

According to the prosecution, on July 17, 2004, Safiq (19) had hacked Nadeem to death after criminally assaulting him.

Later, the victim's parents lodged an FIR against the accused.

On the basis of substantial evidence, Additional District Court (I) Judge P K Srivastava convicted the accused last evening.
