Samjhauta Exp explosion, attempt to derail Indo-Pak ties: JD(U)
Aurangabad, Feb 20 (UNI) Senior JD(U) leader Hari Kishore Singh today said the explosion in Samjhauta Express, allegedly triggered by terrorist outfits on Sunday, wwas an attempt to derail the Indo-Pak peace intiative for bilateral co-operation.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Singh said the Centre should take serious initiatives to ensure that the ongoing diplomatic dialogoue between the two countries should not get hampered due to terrorist activities.
''Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had initiated several steps to improve the Indo-Pak relations during the NDA regime. The UPA government is also engaged in dialogue with Pakistan to strengthen the bilateral ties which should be supported by all the political parties,'' he advocated.
''The forthcoming SAARC meeting will provide better opportunity to India to discuss the vital issues with its member countries which could have far reaching effect on multilateral co-operation in Asia'' he added.
