Rowdy murdered by gang

Chennai, Feb 20 (UNI) A 32-year-old rowdy was fatally murdered by an unidentified gang at a fishing harbour area at Ennore in North Chennai early today.

Police said the deceased M Agatheeswaran, accused in a murder case and currently on bail was walking along the fishing harbour when the gang intercepted him.

After fatally attacking Agatheeswaran, who was also involved in several anti-social activities with lethal weapons, the gangsters fled away.

The motive behind the murder was said to be previous enmity.

The body was removed to the Government Stanley hospital for post-mortem, police said.
