Prof case: Brother deposes

Ujjain, MP, Feb 20 (UNI) A district and sessions court today recorded the statements of three people, including the deceased's brother, in a case relating to the murder of Madhav College Prof Harbhajan Singh Sabharwal in students' union poll-linked violence in August 2006.

On the second consecutive day of hearings, Judge A K Sharma heard the deposition of Mr Manjeet Singh, a government doctor and a compounder.

The government had ordered a Crime Investigation Department probe that named six people, including the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad's then state unit president Shashiranjan Singh Akela, as accused.
