Patna HC directs Govt to monitor missing children's cases

Patna, Feb 20 (UNI) Patna High Court today directed Bihar government to constitute a committee headed by the Inspector General (CID) to monitor the investigation into cases of more than 200 missing children across the state.

While hearing a PIL petition, a division bench comprising Chief Justice J N Bhatt and Justice Chandramauli Kumar Prasad also directed the government to constitute state child rights commission and apprise the court of compliance on April second, 2005.

The bench asked the state government to file a detailed report on inter-state kidnapping cases on April 2, 2005. During the hearing, additional advocate general submitted before the court that the state government had taken several steps to recover 207 missing children across the state.
