1injured, 15 houses damaged in cyclinder explosion

Chennai, Feb 20: One person was seriously injured and 15 houses badlydamaged when an LPG cylinder exploded at a house in a three-storiedbuilding at Jaferkhanpet in the city early today.

Accordingto police, the incident took place when Senthil Kumar, driver of aprivate taxi firm, forgot to switch off the gas cylinder in the kitchenlast night. When he switched on the electrical light this morning, thecylinder exploded, injuring him seriously.

The condition of Senthil Kumar, admitted to the Government Kilpauk Medical College hospital here was stated to be critical.
