Indo-Pak Par Forum to unitedly fight terrorism
New Delhi, Feb 20: The India-Pakistan Forum of Parliamentarianstoday said the common grief over the Samjhauta Express tragedy may helpboth countries in developing a common approach for furthering mutualunderstanding to tackle problems and march forward together.
A Joint Statement issued by the Forum said the Forum expected theleaders of both countries to realise the necessity of making headway infinding solutions to the long-pending problems for lasting peace.
Strongly condemning the blast in the Sammjhauta Express onFebruary 18-19 night in which 67 people were killed and 12 injured, the Forum said the timing and the target of the blasts suggested thatthe perpetrators of the crime were working against the improvement inIndia-Pakistan relations and increasing contacts of the public acrossthe border.
It said the aim of such crime should never succeed and the India-Pakistan dialogue process must continue.
''Unlike in the past, this time there is no outcry for thestoppage of the dialogue process. The people of both countries haveshown maturity in condemning this violence in one voice,'' it added.
