HCL Tech inks MoU with Maharashtra govt to develop SEZ
New Delhi, Feb 20 (UNI) HCL Technologies Ltd today signed an MoU with the Government of Maharashtra for allotment of 170 acres of land in Mihan SEZ at Nagpur.
''We are delighted to set up our base at Nagpur and work with the government of Maharashtra. Currently, we have our development centers in NCR, Chennai and Bangalore and this will be our first centre outside the big cities,'' said company Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Shiv Nadar.
As SEZ is a great growth engine for a developing economy and Nagpur has a large talent base, HCL sees an immense growth potential here, he added.
The company seeks to make its Nagpur campus operational within a period of three years generating a direct employment of about 10,000 people within five years of going operational.
