Cricket betting racket busted, 4 nabbed

Lucknow, Feb 20 (UNI) Lucknow Police claims to have busted an inter-state cricket betting racket with the arrest of four people.

Police said the quartet were arrested this afternoon and were said to be involved in betting through mobile phones.

The four used to fix betting rates in metros, besides the Uttar Pradesh capital. They used to generate income to the tunes of lakhs of rupees.

Police claimed the gang used to fix betting prices over phone and used to monitor the game through TV sets and the internet.
