CPI(Maoist) ultra nabbed, huge cash
Hazaribagh/Chatra, Feb 20 (UNI) In a major breakthrough police today nabbed self-styled sub-zonal commander of proscribed CPI(Maoist), carrying a cash reward of Rs one lakh, along with his seven other accomplices from Jharkhand's Hazaribagh district.
Police also recovered of Rs 10 lakh in cash, fourteen 315-bore rifles, gold weighing about 17 tolas and three mobile sets from them.
Maoist Bhagirath Yadav alias Raghu and his associates were arrested from Bundu village under Keredari police station area. He was invovled in more than four dozen cases registered in Barkagaon, Patratu, Tandwa, Simaria, Budmu police stations of the state.
Meanwhile in a related development, a report from Chatra said, police arrested a school teacher for allegedly collecting levy for Maoist rebels from Tandwa area. Pouluss Oraon, the teacher, was arrested from Utrathhi village in the district.
Police also recovered Rs five lakh from the house of one Vipin Kumar, also a school teacher, under Hunterganj police station area. The arrest followed a specific information obtained from Bhagirath, arrested in Hazatibagh.
