CPI(M) to take more initiative for implementation of gov.plan

Kolkata, Feb 20 (UNI) The CPI(M)'s West Bengal state committee today called upon its party workers to work tirelessly for implementation of state government's various development programme.

Party's state secretary Biman Bose in a statement at the end of two-day 19th state committee conference urged the party supporters to intensify effort for success of the government's various development programmes in panchayats and municipalites within time frame.

He said the common people were supportive to the government's industrilisation programme based on agriculture. He also emphasised the need for intensifying campaign among the common people for government's various welfare programmes.

The conference was presided by veteran leader Binoy Konar.

The party also decided to organise nationwide agitation and protest programmes on Febraury 27 against price rise, which has hit the poor and downtrodden people as well as the lower middle classes due to absence of sepcific steps from the Union government.

However, the party also made a caution that campaign against price rise should not disturbed students appearing for secondary and high-madrassa examinsations across the state.

The conference also underlined the importance of women participation in the nation building and called for end of discrimination against them.
