BJP to highlight energy crisis in ZP elections:Javdekar

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Feb 20 (UNI) BJP National Spokesperson Prakash Javdekar today said his party will fight the ensuing Zilla Parishad elections in the state on the plank of load shedding.

Addressing a press conference here this evening, Mr Javdekar held the Congress-led Democratic Front (DF) government in the state responsible for the present electricity shortage.

The present alliance governemnt in the state has thrown the people of the state in the dark by resorting to loadshedding for nearly 10-12 hours per day, he alleged.

Mr Javdekar also raised other issues including the failure of UPA government at the centre on the front of security of the people.

Referring to Parliament attack accused Afzal Guru's case, he said the government, which was not able to implement the Supreme Court's order to punish the culprits behind the terrorist activities, how can it act on preventive measures to halt terrorist activities in the country.
