Biman Bose and TU leaders Condole death of Majumdar
Barrackpore, Feb 20 (UNI) Left Fornt Chairman Biman Bose while condoling death of CITU's national secretary Chittabrata Majumdar today said his demise was shocking and unexpected at this hour.
'' His death (Majumdar) was unexpected to me at this hour'', he said.
He fought judiciously for the people as well as for the working class across the country, Mr Bose added.
CPI leader and AITUC general secretary Gurudas Dasgupta said the death was an irreparable loss to the trade union movement.
'' It is an irreparable loss to the trade union movement'', CPI's Lok Sabha member said while condoling the death of his long time comrade.
'' We were together since studenthood. We fought together in Parliament and outside and jointly claked out movement plans,''. He said ''Though his death is an irreparable loss the trade union movement can not be restrained'', he added.
West Bengal Trasnport minister Subash Chakraborty also said it was an irreparable loss to the trade union movement.
He said Mr Majumdar dedicated his life for the working class. He said he had long association with the departed leader.
Citu leader and former Trasnport minister Md Amin said he was crusader for the working class.
