AYUSH university to be started in Belgaum
Belgaum, Karnataka, Feb 20 (UNI) The city of Belgaum will soon have an AYUSH University and the Karnataka Government has directed the district administration to identify site for the same.
District Commissioner Shalini Rajanish, in a meeting of revenue officials today, asked them to identify around 400 acres of land for the proposed university in the vicinity of the city.
The varsity would be the second in the country and first in South India. The proposed university would conduct courses and encourage research in Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy branches of medicine.
